National Rock Garden
A masterplan for the National Rock Garden has been prepared by the Geological Society of Australia, to be located on National Land adjacent to the Lindsay Pryor National Arboretum. The gardens will establish a complementary tourist and educational destination which will display the richness and diversity of Australian geology with substantial iconic rock specimens from each state and territory.
Currently located at the site is the Federation Rocks Display, opened by former ACT Chief Minister Ms Katy Gallagher in October 2013 as part of the Centenary of Canberra celebrations. The display incorporates eight large rocks, one from each State and Territory.
