Pack your picnic and join us for a free family friendly Christmas Carillon concert at Aspen Island and surrounds.
Free, guided, public tours of the National Carillon tower are available from 4.15 pm to 5.45 pm. Bookings for these tours are not required, but spaces are very limited and on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
The main concert, featuring our amazing carillonists and the wonderful Canberra Harmony Chorus will run from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm. The public are invited to join in and singalong with the choir to Christmas favourites including Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town and Silent Night, with carillonists performing between the caroling.
Bring the kids and arrive from 5.00 pm, to make sure you don’t miss out on the FREE face painting, balloon animals, popcorn and fairy floss. A sausage sizzle, ice cream truck and coffee will also be available to purchase on the day. There will also be a special visitor popping in during the concert.
There will be free parking available in Kings Park. Due to road closures for the event, parking in Kings Park can be accessed from the Constitution Avenue end of Wendouree Drive
