The Canberra and Region Heritage Festival is back for 2022 and the theme is 'Curiosity'. It invites audiences to challenge how they see the tangible and intangible heritage that makes our region unique.
As part of the Heritage Festival, the National Capital Authority has prepared some fun activities for the whole family.
Did you know that the National Capital Exhibition has one hundred precious stone artifacts from the Gillespie Collection on display? Join curator and archaeologist Kenneth Heffernan and Ngambri- Ngunnawal Elder Matilda House for afternoon tea and yarn as they examine this extraordinary collection.
Date: Thursday 14 April, 2pm

Would your kids know a candle snuffer if they saw one? What would they make of a shoe last? Take the whole family on a journey back in time with a trip to Blundells Cottage. Ask to see our curiosity box with all the mysterious objects inside!
Date: Saturdays and Sundays, between 10am to 2pm
Place: Blundells Cottage, Kings Park, Parkes
