What do Albert Hall, the Institute of Anatomy, and the Australian War Memorial all have in common?
They were all built by the pioneering building company, Simmie & Co.
Operating in Canberra from 1926 to 1969, Simmie & Co were instrumental in constructing some of the city's most iconic structures, and shaping the National Capital.
From 1 October, the National Capital Exhibition will host Well Built: Simmie & Co Master Builders in Canberra 1926 - 1969, an exhibition that highlights the human stories behind some of our greatest buildings.
