The National Capital Estate, (managed by the NCA) was  severely impacted by the recent hail storms that wreaked havoc across the ACT on Monday 20 January 2020.

The NCA continues the clean up and notes that there are still a number of undrivable cars still parked in NCA car parks. From Tuesday 28 January, NCA Parking Officers begun the process of mapping the location of damaged and undriveable cars left across the Estate. We understand that a number of those affected are still waiting for advice from their insurers as to when their vehicle can be removed. These cars that are undrivable will be exempt from parking fees.

Those cars that have been made safe to drive (such as replaced windscreens) will no longer be exempt from parking fees and will need to have a standard parking ticket displayed to avoid fines.

Unsure about your car’s status? Contact our Parking Team at would like to advise should you have a damaged car parked on National Land.

Please continue to report any dangerous  situations that you think we may not be aware of to The NCA will continue to provide updates, and we thank you for your patience as we manage the clean up process.
