Testing of the Captain Cook Memorial Jet

NEXT WEEK, the National Capital Authority (NCA) will be testing the Captain Cook Memorial Jet (the Jet) as part of the restoration and upgrade works project.

The testing and commissioning period for phase one will include testing of the refurbished flow control valve located within the pump-station.

During this period, the community can expect to see the Jet operating intermittently between 9 am - 5 pm on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 July 2019, at varying heights of up to 147 metres.

Subject to the outcome of the testing and commissioning period, the NCA expects the Jet to return to its normal operational hours 11 am - 2 pm daily, with the possibility of the Jet operating some nights for special occasions.
