Have Your Say on Development Control Plan in Pialligo
12 May 2014
The National Capital Authority (NCA) invites public comment on a proposal to introduce a draft Development Control Plan (DCP) to guide future planning and development of the Pialligo agricultural area in conjunction with Draft Variation 321 to the Territory Plan.
The NCA has received a request from ACT Government, through the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate (ESDD), for the establishment of a DCP for Pialligo Avenue. The area is adjacent to Pialligo Avenue, an Approach Route under the National Capital Plan (the Plan).
If approved, the DCP will guide future development of the site including building height and design, landscape character, access and parking for the Pialligo area in conjunction with Draft Variation 321 to the Territory Plan developed by ESDD. It has been prepared within the framework of the Plan, the Territory Plan and the Pialligo Master Plan.
The draft DCP can be downloaded on the NCA's consultation website www.nationalcapital.gov.au/haveyoursay, or it can be viewed at the NCA's reception on the Ground Floor, Treasury Building, King Edward Terrace, Parkes.
A public information session will be held on Wednesday 21 May 2014 between 12:00pm and 1:30pm at the NCA's Offices. Please contact Jordan Smith on 02 6271 2888 or email DCP@natcap.gov.au for further information.
The NCA is seeking community feedback via:
- the NCA's consultation website, Have Your Say, www.nationalcapital.gov.au/haveyoursay
- by hardcopy submissions (GPO Box 373, Canberra ACT 2601); and
- on Twitter using @nca_media.
Submissions close at 5pm AEDST on 23 June 2014.
All responses received will be considered before a decision on draft DCP 13/02 is made by the Authority of the NCA.
