Have Your Say on Kings and Commonwealth Avenues
22 May 2017
The National Capital Authority (NCA) is calling for feedback on the way Kings and Commonwealth Avenues should look and function in the future.
NCA Chief Executive, Mr Gary Rake said this is the first phase of consultation.
'The NCA is in the early stages of a strategic review that will guide the management and renewal of Kings and Commonwealth Avenues over the coming years.'
'We want to hear what the community values about the Avenues and where they would like to see improvements made into the future.'
'The strategic review will cover everything from the aesthetic of the Avenues through to access for cyclists, pedestrians and motorists,' Mr Rake said.
A discussion paper outlining the planning and development issues affecting the Avenues is available on the NCA's consultation website for comments. It examines the Avenues existing conditions and identifies some priorities for future management.
The public are also invited to complete a short survey on the NCA's consultation website.
Detailed design options will be developed by the NCA following this phase of consultation, with further consultation being carried out as the project evolves.
Community feedback can be made:
- by completing a short survey or leaving comments on the NCA's consultation website
- by hardcopy submissions
- or on Twitter using @nca_media
Comments will be received until Friday 28 June 2013.
