Local Hero at the National Capital Exhibition

Dave Lewis, CBR Brave Ice Hockey Team forward will be at the National Capital Exhibition this Sunday as part of Volunteering ACTís 25 Days of Volunteering Campaign.

NCA Chief Executive, Malcolm Snow said Mr Lewis will join a National Capital Authority guide to tell visitors and locals about the story of Canberra.

ëEveryone is invited to visit the National Capital Exhibition this Sunday, to meet one of Canberraís local heroes, and also learn something new about this great city,í he said.

ëThe National Capital Exhibition features the people, events, history and design which contributed to the development of this unique, modern, planned city.

ëDave will deliver one of the exhibitionís most popular activities, called Brick by Brick where children can build their own National Capital using Lego or Duplo blocks.í

The event is being organised in the lead up to International Volunteers Day on 5 December 2014.

CBR Brave is the cityís newest ice hockey team formed this year as part of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL).
