Valentine's Day Serenade

A free concert will be held this Friday night at the National Carillon to celebrate St Valentine's Day.

More than 100 couples are expected to enjoy this special concert in the beautiful surrounds of Aspen Island, Kings Park.

The 12th Annual Valentine's Day recital will feature Lyn Fuller and Leonard Weiss performing romantic songs from 7pm to 8pm.

NCA Chief Executive, Malcolm Snow said the concert is a prominent event in Canberra's event calendar.

'Aspen Island is one our most popular venues for weddings on national land. Many people celebrate St Valentine's Day by returning to the site where they made their wedding vows.

'We also receive a number of wedding bookings each year for Aspen Island from people who became engaged at the Valentine's Day concert,' Mr Snow said.

Everyone is invited to bring along a rug and some refreshments to enjoy this special concert at the National Carillon.
