On 2 June 2018, the National Capital Authority (NCA) released National Capital Plan Draft Amendment 90 – Mint Administration Building (DA90) for public consultation. DA90 proposes to change the land use of Block 5 Section 65 Deakin from National Capital Use, to a mixed use zoning permitting Office, Consulting Rooms, and Health Centre.
Background
The site is National Land managed by the Department of Finance (Finance). Finance requested the draft amendment to the National Capital Plan (the Plan) ahead of the intended sale of the property through a competitive tender process expected to commence in 2018.
Public Consultation
The NCA will hold an information session on 20 June 2018, from 12pm to 1pm at the National Capital Authority, Treasury Building, King Edward Terrace, Parkes ACT 2601. Attendees should register their interest in attending this session by phoning 02 6271 2888 or emailing draft.amendment@nca.gov.au.
The NCA welcomes submission on DA90 until close of business on 16 July 2018.
