Update: Lake Burley Griffin OPEN to primary contact

The National Capital Authority (NCA) wishes to advise the community and Lake Burley Griffin recreational users that all areas of Lake Burley Griffin (the Lake) are now open.

The NCA has continued to regularly monitor water quality over recent weeks and samples collected on Tuesday 3 April 2018 have confirmed a reduction in both blue green algae and bacteria levels in all areas.

The NCA will continue to monitor lake water quality over coming weeks as per standard protocols, with samples collected weekly.

At all times, Lake users should look for warning signs indicating the current alert level at major water entry points, check the Swim Guide app or go to www.nca.gov.au
