Lace up your boots and mark your calendars, Christmas in July is back, and this year it’s bringing a brand-new lakeside location and even more winter wonder than ever before. Running for four festive days only, from Thursday 3 July to Sunday 6 July 2025, the festival now takes place along the stunning Patrick White Lawns, offering sweeping views of Lake Burley Griffin and an atmospheric new setting for this much-loved celebration.
Food lovers are in for a treat, with over 20 pop-up restaurants serving an irresistible array of French and European winter cuisine, including melted raclette, bubbling cheese fondue, gnocchi in creamy mushroom sauce, Austrian schnitzels, oversized bratwursts, Belgian fries, and even lobster rolls. Sweet offerings include sugar-dusted waffles, cinnamon rolls, flaky French pastries, and Nutella-stuffed crêpes best enjoyed with a hot drink in hand.
One of the festival’s most iconic features makes its return: the Fire Pit Garden. This glowing gathering space offers the perfect mix of warmth and atmosphere, inviting guests to toast marshmallows, sip hot drinks, and watch the lake shimmer as the fire crackles. It’s the soul of the event; cosy, communal and undeniably festive.
