We are responsible for creating and maintaining a National Capital that all Australians can be proud of. Our role demands visionary planning in order to protect what is of national significance. We undertake high quality urban design projects. We maintain and protect places of national interest. We also inform Australians of the importance of their National Capital.
To be eligible to work with the National Capital Authority you must:
be an Australian citizen
be willing to undergo a medical examination if applicable
undertake a security assessment to the requisite standard
have completed the 'redundancy benefit period' if you received a redundancy benefit from an Australian Public Service (APS) agency or a non-APS Commonwealth employer.

The majority of the NCA's employees work in the Treasury Building, King Edward Terrace, Parkes, ACT. The NCA also operates the National Capital Exhibition at Regatta Point and Blundells Cottage located in Kings Park, Wendouree Drive on the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin.
