Join the Traditional Boat Squadron on 11–12 April 2026 for a vibrant celebration of classic maritime craftsmanship at the Canberra Yacht Club. This beloved annual event brings together historic wooden vessels, elegant modern replicas, steam launches, electric boats, putt putts, sailing craft, and rowing boats—some more than a century old.
Across the weekend, visitors can explore beautifully maintained traditional boats as part of the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival, with displays along Lake Burley Griffin and especially in Kingston Harbour during morning viewing sessions.
Saturday features live music on the dock, including jazz and sea‑shanty performances, plus children’s rides on “George,” the miniature steam train.
On Sunday, don’t miss the spectacular Grand Parade, as boats journey from the Canberra Yacht Club to Kingston Harbour between 10:00 and 11:00am. The event is free and welcomes all ages.
