The National Capital Authority is managing the replacement of rose name signage in the Old Parliament House Gardens.

Once installed, the new low set granite name signs will assist visitors, staff and volunteers to identify the roses. The signs will include the name of the rose, the breeder, the date the rose was bred or discovered, the type of rose, and a symbol that indicates rose care information (example: season to prune, whether to prune the hops).

The teams of horticultural volunteers providing invaluable services to care for the roses were consulted during the design process of the signs.
