The destruction of the partial cloverleaf along Commonwealth Avenue north of Parkes way will have a significant impact on the flow of traffic. Replacing it with a regular intersection and traffic lights will inevitably result in traffic congestion and delays, especially at peak hours. With this design, the number of vehicles which will be able to move through this intersection in an hour will never come close to what you have now.

Besides this, based on what we've seen with other roadwork projects in Canberra, the Pialligo Avenue working being a good example, you are committing to shutting down Commonwealth Avenue for at least a year.
