I support this project for the opportunities it presents to build pedestrian links between the lake and the city centre. The current cloverleaf ramps priorities the movement of car traffic over foot traffic, making the surrounding area hostile to anyone who isn't driving.
The only features that the current proposal lacks are accommodation for priority movement of buses, exacerbated by the lack of bus stops near to the intersection. While the extension of light rail will likely encourage the use of public transit over cars in the area, bus amenities should still be considered to assist in the integration of light rail and buses.
