In 2025 the National Capital Authority (NCA) will upgrade stormwater infrastructure at Parkes Place, and rejuvenate the National Rose Gardens, as part of its ongoing management of the National Estate.
A call for tenders was issued in December 2024 and will close in February 2025. Works will commence in May and are expected to be completed within six-to-nine months.

The Summer Sunday Sessions Series will showcase the range and repertoire of the National Carillon through classical and contemporary favourites, as well as music written expressly for the carillon.
The series will also provide opportunities for carillonists to continue to test new instrumentation installed earlier this year as part of the refurbishment of the carillon.
