Project Summary 

The National Capital Authority (NCA) is commencing a project in the Old Parliament House precinct. Works will include:

• repairing footpath and improving accessibility
• upgrading the car parks including resurfacing

Every effort will be made to minimise disruptions during this period; however, some temporary road closures and bus detours will be required. Access to any nearby driveways will be maintained.

The hard stand area ‘Federation Plaza’ is now complete.  Approximately 750 tonnes of new asphalt with 3,600m2 of red rock have been used to create the The hard stand and main paths in the Parkes Place Precinct.

The colour and texture of the Plaza and the paths compliment the look and feel of the red areas at Parliament House, Rond Terrace and Anzac Parade.
