Intersection of Constitution Avenue and Creswell Street - Infrastructure Upgrades

September 2025 

The first stage of works to extend the existing median along Constitution Avenue have been completed.

Key activities completed in August include: 

• Constitution Avenue median works, including installation of blue stone kerbing, top soil, plantings, irrigation and mulch
• landscaping works along Parkes Way.

The second and final stage of works involves road resurfacing around the newly constructed median.

What to expect on site throughout September:

• Heavy patching - road resurfacing and new line marking works on both Constitution Avenue and Creswell Street. For more details on the traffic arrangements, including road closures, click here.

Project Summary

This infrastructure upgrade is the continuation of the existing median along Constitution Avenue and will include landscaping. 

The works commenced in July 2025 and are expected to be completed in September 2025. 

During the project there will be some periods of weekend works to reduce traffic impacts. 

Every effort will be made to minimise disruptions during this period; however, some impacts are unavoidable. Impacts during the works period will include temporary road closures and bus detours, however all nearby driveways will remain accessible during the works. 

Project Background

Recent inspections and community feedback had identified a traffic hazard in the form of unsafe traffic maneuvers. 

The works incorporates the continuation of the bluestone centre median and current architectural landscape and will lower the risk of the unsafe traffic maneuvers.
