Poisonous death cap mushrooms have been sighted in Canberra.
The Health Protection Service of the ACT Government Health Directorate is reminding people to steer clear of any wild mushrooms found growing around the ACT. Edible wild mushrooms could be confused with the Death Cap, the world's deadliest mushroom. All parts of the Death Cap mushroom are poisonous, and eating just one can be fatal.
Do not or pick or eat any wild mushrooms.
