Lane Closures - Maintenance Activities - Parkes Way

Details

There will be temporary lane closures and speed limit reductions on sections of Parkes Way to facilitate activities including handrail and lighting maintenance and graffiti removal. 

These are scheduled to take place on Monday 31 August 2026 (weather permitting) and will occur between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Locations: 

  • Parkes Way (in both directions) at the Kings Avenue overpass.

This map shows the sections of Parkes Way that will see lanes closed to safely allow light and handrail maintenance to be completed.

 

  • Parkes Way (westbound) between Coranderrk Street and Commonwealth Avenue (including the on-ramp to Commonwealth Avenue). Note: vehicle access will be maintained along the on-ramp at all times.

This map shows the section of Parkes Way westbound between Coranderrk Street and the on-ramp to Commonwealth Avenue which will have lane and shoulder closures to allow graffiti removal activities to be completed safely.
