Celebrate this Australia Day long weekend under a sky filled with stories!

Get prepped for the Flight Drone Skyshow and Night Markets happening this Australia Day long weekend, a spectacular three-night celebration featuring dazzling drone shows, vibrant night markets, and live entertainment.

Event Details:

• Dates: Saturday 24, Sunday 25, and Monday 26 January
• Night Markets & Entertainment: From 5:00pm each evening
• Drone Shows: Two breathtaking displays at 9:00pm and 10:00pm

This year’s event is bigger than ever, with drone artistry complemented by dynamic lighting sequences.

What’s in Store:
The two drone stories will celebrate the world of possibilities for young Australians and showcase iconic locations and events that unite us as a nation.

Enjoy a variety of food, drinks, retail stalls, kid-friendly activities, roving performers, and live music.

Best Viewing Hubs:

• Hub 1: Commonwealth Place (South side of Lake Burley Griffin near the International Flag Display)
• Hub 2: Kings Park (North side near the Carillon)

Getting There: Plan ahead!

Take time and consider how you will be getting to and from the event.

There are several parking locations around the National Triangle including the John Gorton Building carpark with 1,000+ spaces. Suggested parking locations can be found in detail on the events page.
 
Transport Canberra buses and light rail services will be running on the regular weekend and public holiday timetables.

*Please note that the Public Transport Schedule will operate on a Sunday timetable on 25 and 26 January. Bus services finish before the final show and light rail finishes at 11:00pm.

Shuttle Buses

The NCA has arranged free CDC Shuttle buses offering rides from City (from 5:00pm to midnight) and Woden (from 7:00 pm to midnight) to the Event and return.

City to the Event
5 pm to midnight, every 15 minutes
Shuttle buses will be offering free return rides, from the City - Cooyong Street to the Event - Langton Cresent, stopping at select spots (including carparks).

Woden to the Event
7pm to midnight, every 15 minutes

Shuttle buses will be offering free rides to and from Woden Interchange and Irving Street - near the Phillip Pool to the Event - Langton Crescent.
